Afternoon entertainment-teenage boy style!
Having teenage boys is certainly a different adventure than the teenage girl!
M and his buddy decided to create their own "nitrus circus" . The found an
old trike on the junk pile, it's tire barely hanging on after fifteen years of use.
They hooked it to the back of the four wheeler and pulled it down the road.
It made it quite a ways before the support fork broke-not the faulty tire!
After the trike died they decided they needed something better. They went looking in the neighborhood junk yard--they found the chair!
THE CHAIR OF DEATH!
They found this old chair and a piece of old metal. They attached the metal to the bottom of the chair. They then pulled the chair-like a sled around the field. They made it most of the way around before the metal cut the rope.
Luckily they did have safety gear on!
HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!
After almost 17 years as a Mom it still surprises me! How did that little
baby of mine get to be so big?
MissE turned ten yesterday--April 19, 2010! 10--that is a really big number.
Somehow there is something big about turning ten. It is like it is the official end of
being a little kid. You still are a little kid but there is just something different
once ten happens.
E helped me decorate her cake. I was happy because I got to use my cake stand.
Things just look prettier on a cake stand! I am so happy that they have come back
into fashion. They were out for a long time because they just weren't "practical."
Tupperware containers that transport things came into style. They did keep things from
drying out but they certainly weren't full of any style!
M is always teasing the little man. He always wants to dump him upside down--which J has hated since infancy. They are so so silly together.
All in all I think that E had a happy birthday. I went to her class at school, played the crazy birthday song, got her class dancing and brought treats. She decorated with balloons and opened some fun gifts.
Here is to a great year! 10 is BIG!

Anyone want to come and do my dishes? Oh, and while you are at it would you finish up the laundry, clean up the mess on the floor downstairs, organize my pantry and closets. After that would you clean all the dead growth from last year out of my flower beds? My little crocus are trying just so hard but are struggling for some space!

Easter 2010 Lake Mead Nevada

(painting tie die eggs)
The Easter Bunny seems to find us no matter where we are! This year we decided to take advantage of the long spring break(never happens around here) and head south. We went through a HORRIBLE blizzard trying to find some sunshine. Lucky for us Lake Mead, NV had plenty of beatiful weather for us to enjoy.

(j finding blue and orange eggs while holding leafy)
This year the kids forgot to put out their Easter baskets- Little J was very concerned. I told him to go look around perhaps the bunny hid a few things. They had a ball finding the eggs. J only wanted to pick up orange and blue eggs. The other kids would leave them for him and he would leave all the other colors.

After finding all the Easter eggs J and E found little surprises left by the bunny! A fishing pole for J and a Princess and the Frog Barbie for E. The big kids got Nerf dart guns! What was the Easter bunny thinking?

After breakfast we went for a lovely drive and guess who we found? The Easter Bunny!!!!
