Daily December--December 6, 2008Our Annual Neighborhood Christmas Party! We started this tradition thirteen years ago. We invite all the neighbors(adults) to a potluck Christmas party. We all stand around, eat and visit. It has been one of our favorite traditions for these past thirteen years. We started this tradition when #1 girl was only two years old. We were living in Mr. Sweetness' parent's home. We had the party at their house even during the four years we moved away. When we built this home seven years ago we started hosting it in our home. We have had neighbors that thank us for giving them the chance to visit. We all live within a block of each other. Most of us attend the same church. However, sometimes we just don't take the time to really visit with each other. We are rushing to the next class at church, getting gas at the store, waving as we drive by. Having this party gives us an opportunity to slow down for a few hours and just be the friends that we truly are.
